Matthew 5:5; Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Hebrews11: 5-10,12-20, & 39-40; By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a
strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son], Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God [was] able to raise [him] up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Hebrews 11:8 says that this land, Canaan, was promised to Abraham. Verse 9 says Abraham sojourned there. "Sojourn/parwkhsen (GRK)" means that the land was not his home. Verse 39 says that none of the preceding people had received the promise (land), confirming, then that Abraham did not receive the land promised him, but still awaits that to be literally fulfilled TOGETHER with us - verse 40. Shall we still inherit the land? Now read all of Hebrews 11. It states that we are awaiting a heavenly city that is prepared for us. It did not say "in heaven" but "heavenly." Ephesians 1:4 says that we were chosen in him "before the foundation of the world." Yet not we or the world had yet existed. But we were chosen... And there is a city prepared in the plan of God. Will we INHERIT the EARTH? What does it mean to inherit something? Think about it (Please). Genesis 15:7&8 shows Abram dwelling in a land he had not possessed. Else why would he still be asking for it as an inheritance? Genesis 15:18 was, however, fulfilled under Joshua (chapter 1:1-4 & v. 11) to Abraham's DESCENDENTS. But Abraham did not receive the PROMISE. Don't forget Matthew 5 and Hebrews 11 (Again, Just a friendly reminder.). We AND Abraham and others still look for a land, a city, whose builder and maker is God which we are all to receive together. II Peter 3: 5-18; For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the
earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the
day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [Seeing] then [that] all
these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy
conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of
God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.
